From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Wheeler Ridge was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<4>

From that list, the Wheeler Ridge post office opened in 1923.

We also found Wheeler Ridge mentioned on a train schedule titled Trailways Santa Fe Bus Time Table (July 1945).
