So far, we found very little information about Tesla. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We originally found mention of Tesla in the GNIS. For more information, see the Referenced GNIS Codes section on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found (so far) for Tesla was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<4>

From that list, the Tesla post office opened in 1898. The Tesla post office closed in 1915.
