The Commemorative Quarter for California

Miscellaneous References and Mentions

While our initial information about Pacific came from various goverment sources (GNIS, FIPS), we also found mention of Pacific in various books, maps and other sources.

We've created the following list to keep track of the sources that proved useful in adding to our knowledge about Pacific. We hope that they will be useful to you.

Note: Initially, we were careless about keeping track of where our Pacific data came from. The following list of references and mentions is incomplete.

Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895)

Published by Rand McNally & Co.

A note taken from the Shipper's Guide for Pacific:
Services available in 1895: had a Post Office, no Railroad mentioned

Map of the Lincoln Highway (1924)

In addition:

Pacific is contained in a comprehensive list of Post Offices that was created by Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<1>

Both the GNIS and FIPS databases contain entries for Pacific. See our Misc Page for Pacific for more information.
