Welcome to Markham ...

So far, we found very little information about Markham. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Markham to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Markham - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Markham, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Markham , we believe that it would have been located within present day Sonoma County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Markham, you might consider that their post office opened in 1883.

Time Zone: The area where Markham was located is in the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) and observes daylight saving time

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Markham was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<4>
