We aren't confident of the location of Manzanar, so consider the above location as an estimate.<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Manzanar, you might consider that their post office opened in 1911. While the community is gone, the present day location for Manzanar is 3,720 feet [1,134 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the elevation of Manzanar is about ¾ mile [or ~1¼ km] above sea level.
