Welcome to Goler ...

So far, we found very little information about Goler. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Goler to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Goler - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Goler, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Goler , we believe that it would have been located within present day Kern County<2>.

Time Zone: The area where Goler was located is in the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) and observes daylight saving time

Adding Goler to Our Gazetteer ...

As we work on our Gazetteer, we occasionally find mention of a community that is new to us. When we find such a community, we add it to our Gazetteer with the hope of adding more information in the future.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Goler was in the book titled SPV's Comprehensive Railroad Atlas of North America - California & Nevada.

For more details, see References and Mentions for Goler.

Footnotes ...

<1>We use the term 'Historic' broadly and it generally means that the community no longer exists. However, it can also mean that the community might still exist, but was significantly larger or had a more 'official' existence in the past than it does now. Unfortunately our sources of data have proven to be unreliable. If you can provide us with more specific information about Goler, please let us know so that we can improve our accuracy.
<2>If you're interested in how the shape of California's counties, including Kern, have changed over time, we recommend the Atlas of Historical County Boundaries.
