From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Fallen Leaf was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Fallen Leaf post office opened in 1908.

We also found Fallen Leaf on a map titled Shell Oil Road Map for California (1956).
