From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Edom was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Edom post office opened in 1913.

We also found Edom mentioned on a train schedule titled Southern Pacific Railroad Time Tables (July 1929).
