Welcome to Drum ...So far, we found very little information about Drum. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1> We've added Drum to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. The location of Drum has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Drum, you might consider that their post office opened in 1913. While the community is gone, the present day location for Drum is 4,650 feet [1,417 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the elevation of Drum is about ¾ mile [or ~1½ km] above sea level. Time Zone: The area where Drum was located is in the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) and observes daylight saving time If Drum still existed, it would have been in the (530) area code.
