At the time of the 2010 Census, Apple Valley had a population of 69,135 people. This makes Apple Valley the county's 11th most populous community.

The population of Apple Valley represents 0.19% of the total population of California (which has 37,253,956 people), making it the state's 115th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 69,135 people, the population of Apple Valley increased 27.46% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 54,239 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Apple Valley was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<8>
