From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Winona was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Winona post office opened in 1924.

We also found Winona on a map titled Shell Oil Road Map for Arizona (1956).
