Welcome to Stanley ...

So far, we found very little information about Stanley. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Stanley to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Stanley - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Stanley, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Stanley , we believe that it would have been located within present day Graham County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Stanley, you might consider that their post office opened in 1906.

Time Zone: The area where Stanley was located is in the Mountain Standard Time Zone (MST) and does not observe daylight saving time

Stanley would have been located in the (928) area code.

As we work on our Gazetteer, we occasionally find mention of a community that is new to us. When we find such a community, we add it to our Gazetteer with the hope of adding more information in the future.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Stanley was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Stanley post office opened in 1906.
