Welcome to Silent ...

So far, we found very little information about Silent. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Silent to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Silent - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Silent, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Silent , we believe that it would have been located within present day La Paz County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Silent, you might consider that their post office opened in 1880.

Time Zone: The area where Silent was located is in the Mountain Standard Time Zone (MST) and does not observe daylight saving time

Adding Silent to Our Gazetteer ...

As we work on our Gazetteer, we occasionally find mention of a community that is new to us. When we find such a community, we add it to our Gazetteer with the hope of adding more information in the future.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Silent was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Silent post office opened in 1880.
