The origin (or the toponymy) of Owens: Named after 'Chloride Jack' Owens, co-discoverer of the McCracken Mine. Time Zone: The area where Owens was located is in the Mountain Standard Time Zone (MST) and does not observe daylight saving time Owens would have been located in the (928) area code.
