While we don't have a date for the founding of Lone Star, you might get a feel for it by knowing that the earliest mention that we've found (so far) was on a map dated 1956.

Lone Star is 2,950 feet [899 m] above sea level.<2> In other words, the altitude of Lone Star is about ½ mile above sea level.
