The location of Johnson has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Johnson, you might consider that their post office opened in 1900. While the community is gone, the present day location for Johnson is 4,970 feet [1,515 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the elevation of Johnson is about 1 mile [or ~1½ km] above sea level. Time Zone: The area where Johnson was located is in the Mountain Standard Time Zone (MST) and does not observe daylight saving time The location where Johnson once stood is in the (520) area code.
