Gold Basin would have been located within present day Mohave County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Gold Basin, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1890.

Adding Gold Basin to Our Gazetteer ...

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Gold Basin was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Gold Basin post office opened in 1890.

We also found Gold Basin in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
