Welcome to Golconda ...

So far, we found very little information about Golconda. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Golconda to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Golconda - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Golconda, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Golconda , we believe that it would have been located within present day Mohave County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Golconda, you might consider that their post office opened in 1909.

Time Zone: The area where Golconda was located is in the Mountain Standard Time Zone (MST) and does not observe daylight saving time

The location where Golconda once stood is in the (928) area code.

As we work on our Gazetteer, we occasionally find mention of a community that is new to us. When we find such a community, we add it to our Gazetteer with the hope of adding more information in the future.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Golconda was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Golconda post office opened in 1909.
