Welcome to Garces ...

So far, we found very little information about Garces. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Garces to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Garces - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Garces, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Garces , we believe that it would have been located within present day Cochise County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Garces, you might consider that their post office opened in 1911.

Time Zone: The area where Garces was located is in the Mountain Standard Time Zone (MST) and does not observe daylight saving time

Adding Garces to Our Gazetteer ...

As we work on our Gazetteer, we occasionally find mention of a community that is new to us. When we find such a community, we add it to our Gazetteer with the hope of adding more information in the future.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Garces was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Garces post office opened in 1911.
