We aren't confident of the location of Courtland, so consider the above location as an estimate.<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Courtland, you might consider that their post office opened in 1909. While the community is gone, the present day location for Courtland is 4,840 feet [1,475 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the elevation of Courtland is about 1 mile [or ~1½ km] above sea level. Time Zone: The area where Courtland was located is in the Mountain Standard Time Zone (MST) and does not observe daylight saving time Note: If you travel east from Courtland, you will leave Mountain Standard Time and cross into the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT).
