How Far From Race to ...
We spend a lot of time looking through Gazetteers that were published in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Many of the Gazetteers include the distance from a community such as Race to various places of note, such as the White House.
With a nod to our favorite Gazetteers and using the location of where the historic<4> community of Race once stood, the straight-line distance<5> beginning in Race and extending to:
- Bentonville, which is the Seat of Benton County, lies just to the East Southeast.
- Little Rock, which is the State Capital of Arkansas, lies 161 miles [259.1 km]<5> to the southeast (SE). If you could drive a straight line from Race to Little Rock, with an average speed<6>of 63 miles [101.4 km] per hour, it would take less than three hours to make the trip.
