Time Zone: Saline County lies in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time.

The community of Benton is the Seat for Saline County.

Saline County was founded in 1835. Saline was created by taking area from Independence and Pulaski Counties.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Saline had a population of 122,550 people. This is an increase of 14.41% since the last Census (which gave a population of 107,118 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Saline represented 3.67% of the total population of Arkansas.
