The origin (or the toponymy) of Argenta: From the Latin word for silver: 'argentum'. While the community is gone, the present day location for Argenta is 290 feet [88 m] above sea level.<4>. Time Zone: The area where Argenta was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time Argenta would have been located in the (501) area code.
