From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Rock Mills was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Rock Mills post office opened in 1847.

We also found Rock Mills in the book titled Table of U.S. Post Offices in the United States (Jan. 1851).
