Welcome to Fontella ...

So far, we found very little information about Fontella. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Fontella to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Fontella - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Fontella, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Fontella , we believe that it would have been located within present day Cullman County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Fontella, you might consider that their post office opened in 1901.

Time Zone: The area where Fontella was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Fontella was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<4>

From that list, the Fontella post office opened in 1901.

We also found Fontella on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Alabama (1911).
