The community of Cullman is the Seat for Cullman County.

Cullman County was founded in 1877. Cullman was created by taking area from Blount, Morgan and Winston Counties.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Cullman had a population of 83,644 people. This is an increase of 4.03% since the last Census (which gave a population of 80,406 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Cullman represented 1.68% of the total population of Alabama.
