Welcome to Stiles ...So far, we found very little information about Stiles. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1> We've added Stiles to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. If you can help us with Stiles, please Contact Us. Stiles was located in Big Bend Country (West Texas). Stiles would have been located within present day Reagan County<2>. The location of Stiles has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Stiles, you might consider that their post office opened in 1894. While the community is gone, the present day location for Stiles is 2,540 feet [774 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the elevation of Stiles is about ½ mile above sea level. Time Zone: The area where Stiles was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time If Stiles still existed, it would have been in the (325) area code.
