From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Iron Springs was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Iron Springs post office opened in 1892.

We also found Iron Springs on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Pennsylvania (1911).
