While we don't have a date for the founding of Dewey, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1898.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Dewey is 230 feet [70 m] above sea level.<4>.

Time Zone: The area where Dewey was located is in the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) and observes daylight saving time

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Dewey was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Dewey post office opened in 1898.
