The location of Sorg has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Sorg, you might consider that their post office opened in 1894. While the community is gone, the present day location for Sorg is 1,030 feet [314 m] above sea level.<4>. Time Zone: The area where Sorg was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time Sorg would have been located in the (937) area code.
