From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Rencona was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Rencona post office opened in 1916.

We also found Rencona on a map titled Rand McNally Map of New Mexico (1951).
