While we don't have a date for the founding of Causey, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1907.

From the  Census Estimates for 2019, Causey has a population of 94 people<3> (see below for details).

Causey is 3,960 feet [1,207 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the elevation of Causey is ¾ mile [or ~1¼ km] above sea level.

Time Zone: Causey lies in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time

Note: If you leave Causey and travel east, you will soon leave Mountain Time and cross into the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT).

Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Causey had an population of 94 people. This is a decrease of 9.62% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 80.77% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Causey had a population of 104 people. This makes Causey the county's 5th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 104 people, the population of Causey increased 100% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 52 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Causey was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Causey post office opened in 1907.
