While we don't have the exact location of Carlisle , we believe that it would have been located within present day Grant County<2>. While we don't have a date for the founding of Carlisle, you might consider that their post office opened in 1884. When the people of Carlisle referred to themselves (known as a demonym), they are believed to have used Carlisler<3> Time Zone: The area where Carlisle was located is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time If Carlisle still existed, it would have been in the (575) area code.
