Welcome to Ural ...So far, we found very little information about Ural. The location of Ural has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> The pronunciation of Ural: YOOR-ahl<4> While we don't have a date for the founding of Ural, you might consider that their post office opened in 1905. While the community is gone, the present day location for Ural is 2,460 feet [750 m] above sea level.<5> In other words, the altitude of Ural is about ½ mile above sea level. Time Zone: The area where Ural was located is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time Note: If you travel west from Ural (for example, toward Moyie Springs (ID)), you will leave Mountain Time and cross into the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT). Ural would have been located in the (406) area code.
