Welcome to Norma ...

So far, we found very little information about Norma. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Norma to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Norma - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Norma, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Norma , we believe that it would have been located within present day Gray County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Norma, you might consider that their post office opened in 1904.

If Norma still existed, it would have been in the (620) area code.

Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are 6 communities that are also named Norma - they are located in Illinois, Louisiana, New Jersey, North Dakota, Tennessee and Wisconsin.

As we work on our Gazetteer, we occasionally find mention of a community that is new to us. When we find such a community, we add it to our Gazetteer with the hope of adding more information in the future.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Norma was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Norma post office opened in 1904.
