Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Thrift had an population of 2,623 people. This is a decrease of 1.69% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 12.09% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Thrift had a population of 2,668 people (which is 31.99% of the total population of Jenkins County).

The population of Thrift represents 0.03% of the total population of Georgia (which has 9,687,653 people).

With a 2010 count of 2,668 people, the population of Thrift increased 14.02% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 2,340 people).

We originally found mention of Thrift in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Thrift was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Thrift post office opened in 1887.

We also found Thrift on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Georgia (1911).
