So far, we found very little information about Dillon. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

Dillon would have been located within present day Walker County<2>.


The location of Dillon has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3>


While we don't have a date for the founding of Dillon, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was on a map dated 1883.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Dillon is 2,000 feet [610 m] above sea level.<4>.

Time Zone: The area where Dillon was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time

Note: If you travel west from Dillon (for example, toward Stevenson (AL)), you will soon leave Eastern Time and cross into the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT).
