Welcome to Bowls ...So far, we found very little information about Bowls. The location of Bowls has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Bowls, you might consider that their post office opened in 1892. While the community is gone, the present day location for Bowls is 780 feet [238 m] above sea level.<4>. Time Zone: The area where Bowls was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time Note: If you travel west from Bowls (for example, toward Gaylesville (AL)), you will leave Eastern Time and cross into the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT). Bowls would have been located in the (706) & (762)<5> area codes.
