Welcome to Pearl ...So far, we found very little information about Pearl. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1> We've added Pearl to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. If you can help us with Pearl, please Contact Us. Pearl would have been located within present day Jackson County<2>. While we don't have a date for the founding of Pearl, you might consider that their post office opened in 1889. From Place Names in Colorado,<3> the origin of Pearl is described as "Named in honor of Pearl Burnett, daughter of Benjamin Franklin Burnett." While the community is gone, the present day location for Pearl is 8,400 feet [2,560 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the altitude of Pearl is about 1½ mile [or ~2½ km] above sea level. Time Zone: The area where Pearl was located is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time Pearl would have been located in the (970) area code. Communities Also Named Pearl ...Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are two Colorado communities named Pearl: This one is located in Jackson County and the other is located in Larimer County.
