So far, we found very little information about Quijotoa. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

Quijotoa would have been located within present day Pima County<2>.


The location of Quijotoa has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3>


While we don't have a date for the founding of Quijotoa, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1883.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Quijotoa is 2,780 feet [847 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the elevation of Quijotoa is about ½ mile above sea level.

Time Zone: The area where Quijotoa was located is in the Mountain Standard Time Zone (MST) and does not observe daylight saving time

We originally found mention of Quijotoa in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Quijotoa was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Quijotoa post office opened in 1883.

We also found Quijotoa in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
