Sheridan County was founded in 1888 and was created by taking area from Johnson County. From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Sheridan had a population of 30,485 people. This is an increase of 4.59% since the last Census (which gave a population of 29,148 people in 2010). At the time of the 2010 Census, Sheridan represented 5.17% of the total population of Wyoming.
