The community of Gillette is the Seat for Campbell County.

Campbell County was founded in 1911. Campbell was created by taking area from Weston and Counties.

From the Census Estimates for 2009, <1> Campbell had a population of 43,967 people. This is an increase of 30.47% since the last Census (which gave a population of 33,698 people in 2000).

At the time of the 2000 Census, Campbell represented 6.82% of the total population of Wyoming, making it the state's 5th most populous county (out of 23 counties).
