While we don't have a date for the founding of Wabash, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1904.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Wabash is 2,550 feet [777 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the altitude of Wabash is about ½ mile above sea level.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Wabash was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Wabash post office opened in 1904.
