The location of Stonewall has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Stonewall, you might consider that their post office opened in 1901. While the community is gone, the present day location for Stonewall is 1,450 feet [442 m] above sea level.<4>. Time Zone: The area where Stonewall was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time If Stonewall still existed, it would have been in the (304) and (681)<5> area codes.
