The location of Scott has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Scott, you might consider that their post office opened in 1882. While the community is gone, the present day location for Scott is 630 feet [192 m] above sea level.<4>. Time Zone: The area where Scott was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time Scott would have been located in the (304) & (681)<5> area codes.
