At the time of the 2010 Census, Saint Albans had a population of 11,044 people (or 5.72% of the total population of Kanawha County). This makes Saint Albans the county's 3rd most populous community.

The population of Saint Albans represents 0.6% of the total population of West Virginia (which has 1,852,994 people), making it the state's 12th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 11,044 people, the population of Saint Albans increased 11,285.57% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 97 people).
