The population of Glasgow represents 0.05% of the population of West Virginia (which has 1,852,994 people), making it the state's 119th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 905 people, the population of Glasgow increased 15.58% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 783 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Glasgow was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Glasgow post office opened in 1914.

We also found Glasgow on a map titled Shell Oil Road Map for West Virginia (1956).
