While our initial information about Mason came from various goverment sources (GNIS, US Census, FIPS), we also found mention of Mason in various books and other sources.

Services available in 1895: had a Post Office, a Railroad Station, an Express Office

Mason is contained in a comprehensive list of Post Offices that was created by Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<1>
