With a 2010 count of 564 people, the population of Lena increased 10.59% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 510 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Lena was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Lena post office opened in 1879.
