The Commemorative Quarter for Washington

Welcome to Lindberg ...

So far, we found very little information about Lindberg. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Lindberg to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Lindberg - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Lindberg, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Lindberg , we believe that it would have been located within present day Lewis County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Lindberg, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1911.

Time Zone: The area where Lindberg was located is in the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) and observes daylight saving time

The Area Codes where Lindberg was located: 360 & 564<3>

Communities Also Named Lindberg ...

Using our Gazetteer, we found another community named Lindberg - it's located in Texas.

For more information, see our Tidbits & Trivia Page for Lindberg.

Adding Lindberg to Our Gazetteer ...

We originally found mention of Lindberg in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Lindberg was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<4>

X2X - From that list, the Lindberg post office opened in 1911.

Footnotes ...

<1>We use the term 'Historic' broadly and it generally means that the community no longer exists. However, it can also mean that the community might still exist, but was significantly larger or had a more 'official' existence in the past than it does now. Unfortunately our sources of data have proven to be unreliable. If you can provide us with more specific information about Lindberg, please let us know so that we can improve our accuracy.
<2>If you're interested in how the shape of Washington's counties, including Lewis, have changed over time, we recommend the Atlas of Historical County Boundaries.
<3>When there's a risk of an area code running out of phone numbers, an 'Overlay Area Code' is created that has the same geographic boundaries as the existing area code. In this case, the 360 code has been Overlayed with the 564 area code. New phone numbers in the Lindberg area will be assigned with one of these codes: 360 or 564. As a result, placing a call in the Lindberg area will require 10-digit dialing (where you enter both the area code and then the phone number).
